Where hardware follows software

With over 50 global pilot projects, Industry 4.0 is already in full swing at Bosch. But to take things to the next level, we need software specialists. People who can diagnose through data mining and improve predictive maintenance. Or optimize logistics with RFID chips. Industrial robots are also our forte. Like BoniRob, the eco-friendly farm hand developed by Deepfield Robotics, an in-house start-up. Join us in making the industrial future happen. Let’s be remarkable!

At Bosch you can put ideas into practice. To improve the world of tomorrow – every day.

Networked for top performance

A hydraulics plant in Homburg, Germany proves that software for intelligently networked high-tech production really does live up to expectations of flexibility, productivity, and quality. From personalized workstations, to wireless data transfer, to decentralized control of machines: here bits and bytes are front and center.

The Bosch Rexroth hydraulics plant in Homburg is a testimony to the company’s efficient manufacturing facilities at their best: extraneous stock is nowhere to be seen, everything is on hand and in its rightful place – the flow of production is unimpeded. The jewel in the crown is a new production line dedicated to electrohydraulic valves for tractors. The observer is struck not only by the cleanliness and tidiness, but also by the many monitors. They show what the intelligent electronics that set the pace here are doing. Workpieces communicate with machines, machines communicate with one another, and everything – including the workstations – communicates with the manufacturing associates….
Facts and figures
5,422Every year, Bosch applies for around 5,422 patents. Or 22 patents per work day, many exciting products originate from. That’s “Invented for life”.
